Hovingham Bakery & Rolling Pin Café
Welcome to the Hovingham bakery and tea room. Victoria and Simon are the friendly couple who took over the business in November 2016. Victoria is from northern Sweden and she brings a Scandinavian touch to the style, the service and the baked goods on offer. Simon has been a chef all his life and loves to create. He is in the kitchen from 4am nurturing the doughs which will produce the freshly baked cobs and loaves for each day.
Both Victoria and Simon have a catering background, they have an impressive 42 years of combined experience in both front of house and kitchen.
We arrived here in Ryedale in 2006 with our 6 week old son in tow to breath taking scenery and a good feeling about moving here. 11 years later we are proud owners our "little village bakery and tea room”. Our philosophy is to serve freshly baked breads, sweet and savoury treats and light lunch dishes with both Swedish and British influence in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves on what we serve and of course happy customers.
